Ingredientes

  • 1 pound ground bison
  • 1 cup green lentils
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1 medium, diced onion
  • 3 cloves, minced garlic
  • 2 medium, diced carrots
  • 3 cups vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper
  • 1/4 cup, chopped fresh parsley

Método de Preparação

  1. Rinse lentils and set aside
  2. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat
  3. Sauté onions and garlic until translucent
  4. Add ground bison and brown for 5-7 minutes
  5. Add carrots, cumin, and paprika
  6. Add lentils and vegetable broth
  7. Simmer for 20 minutes until lentils are tender
  8. Season with salt and pepper
  9. Sprinkle with chia seeds and parsley before serving
  1. Add onion and garlic to bowl: 5 sec/speed 5
  2. Add oil: 2 min/120°C/speed 1
  3. Add bison: 5 min/120°C/reverse/speed soft
  4. Add remaining ingredients except chia seeds and parsley: 20 min/100°C/reverse/speed soft
  5. Serve with chia seeds and parsley on top

Dicas

  1. Toast chia seeds before adding for enhanced nutty flavor
  2. Can substitute bison with lean beef if unavailable
  3. Add a splash of red wine for deeper flavor
  4. Leftovers can be stored for up to 3 days
  5. Serve with quinoa for extra protein
